I took my first agility class with my miniature schnauzer, Spooky, in the fall of 2004.  I quickly became "addicted" to agility and took several more classes with Spooky.  During this time, I acquired another miniature schnauzer, Bella.  I began training Bella on my own (with some private lessons with Doris Staton) at Kuliga.  I entered my first agility trial in May, 2006.  During my early trialing days, I realized I needed more training.  Since agility was fairly "young" in the Cincinnati area at that time, most of the instructors in this area only taught beginner agility handling.  I discovered Bud Houston (professional agility handler) in the Fall of 2007 and went to my first week long agility camp in October of 2007.  I continue to train with Bud on a consistent basis.  Agility is my passion and I continue to learn and grow in the sport by attending agility seminars, going to agility camps, teaching classes, trialing on weekends, etc.  My dogs' agility titles are: CS-ATCH3 Spooky NA, NAJ and C-ATE Bella OA, OAJ, MXP, MJP

I am currently an apprentice CPE and TDAA agility judge.  I teach all levels of agility at Kuliga and enjoy sharing what I've learned over the years with my students.  I added a border collie, Leela, to my familiy this past summer and I've been training her to some day compete in agility.  I am enjoying this wonderful journey I'm taking with my dogs.  Once you reach your goal and get that agility title you strived for, you realize that the journey is what you'll treasure the most.
