Obedience

Puppy Kindergarten- For puppies 9-23 weeks of age (with at least 2 sets of vaccinations).

This class is designed to help owners deal with puppy issues like chewing, housetraining and biting as well as to provide the proper socialization for your puppy to grow into a pleasant, well-adjusted family member. Some of the many excercises covered will be how to sit, lie down, come when called, and walking on a leash.  This class is designed to shape not only the behavior but also the temperament of your puppy.

Family Dog I -For dogs 6 months of age and older (and graduates of Puppy Kindergarten)

This class is for dogs with no formal training or those who need review of the basic commands. Sit, down, stay, come and walking politely on leash are some of the exercises covered in this class.  Emphasis is placed on maintaining your dog's attention and handler control while making training fun and enjoyable for everyone.

Intermediate Obedience - For dogs who have successfully completed a Beginners class or with permission of instructor

This class is designed to fine tune the basic commands covered in the Beginners class, as well as to increase owner control.  By using distractions and adding distance between the handler and dog during exercises, students transition to off-leash work.  Special topics like Rally Obedience and the Canine Good Citizen Test are also covered in this class.
